Curated by Carole de Bona, Bel Ouvrage has been bringing together designers, architects, artists, and artisans since 2024. The project highlights this creative diversity in harmony with venues that have a strong identity. From the Senate’s Orangery to Karl Lagerfeld’s former apartment on Rue de Verneuil, via the abbey palace of Saint-Germain-des-Prés, Bel Ouvrage has established itself as a Parisian cultural destination through its exhibitions. In the spring-summer of 2026, Bel Ouvrage organized its first international exhibition on the sidelines of the Venice Biennale, taking over a historic site, the cloister of Madonna dell’Orto in the Cannaregio district. Titled Il Corpo della Materia, the event brings together some twenty creators—including Clémentine d’Aspremont Menayas, Sophie Dries, Elo de la Rue du Can, José Levy, and Pierre Bonnefille—in an exhibition layout designed by Studio Andrée Putman.
